Fun Holiday Activities Around the Colorado Springs Area

There is something about the holidays in Colorado that is incomparable to anywhere else we have ever lived. There are so many fun and interesting things to do with family and friends during the holidays. It is our kids' favorite time of year here (and we know they will always want to return here each year, to experience it!) We've listed a few wonderful things to do here at the base of Pikes Peak...a little something for everyone!

Skate in the Park! The only outdoor skating rink can be found at Acacia Park, 115 E Platte Ave. From Tuesday November 14, 2017 to Monday January 15, 2018 you can ice skate in the park! Admission is $10 and includes skate rental (under 4yrs free when accompanied by adult, $1 military discount, group fees arranged)  See site as hours vary.

Old Colorado City Christmas Stroll  Enjoy walking the streets with Original Christmas Carolers, Pikes Peak Youth Bell Ringers, and Santa's Cabin. Lots of Christmas special available, and you show your support for Small Business Saturday! Saturday November 25 from 5-8pm!

 Festival of Lights Parade , Free to the public, the 33rd Annual Festival of Lights is a series of events celebrating the holidays that is highlighted by the Festival of Lights Parade. The events include cultural and artistic programs, performances and other festivities for the enjoyment and education of the general public.

 Annual Monument Tree Lighting Located in Limbach Park beginning at noon on Saturday December 2nd, there will be wood and ice carving demonstrations, holiday performances by local schools and churches. Then join Santa as he lights up the town at 5:00 pm

Bear Creek By Candlelight  Bear Creek Nature Center’s annual holiday celebration! Take a walk on beautiful luminary-lit nature trails, enjoy live music, live animals, warm chili from Texas Roadhouse, hot chocolate and cookies. Say hello to Santa Claus and make a festive craft to take home. December 1 from 5-8pm  245 Bear Creek Rd.

Winter Lights at Seven Falls More than 100,000 individual lights will line the path leading tothe falls. The cliff faces of the Pillar of Hercules will also have colored lights this year! Lasting until February 25th, You can join the lighting festivities Saturday November 18th beginning at 10am with an elf scavenger hunt!  Lots of activities all included with the price of admission!

Victorian Christmas at Miramont Castle Come enjoy the festivities of a Victorian Christmas as the lavishly decorated Miramont Castle opens its doors November 24, 25 and 26th from 10am to 4pm  Refreshments and entertainment. Adults $12 Seniors $11, Kids $7

Electric Safari at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo  Enjoy over a 85 light sculptures, warming fires throughout the zoo and the open indoor animal exhibits that stay open! Open 5:30-8:30 beginning December 8th.
